Meet the Lab.

Hailey is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health and an NSF Graduate Research Fellow. Her research focuses on how climate change affects arthropod and zoonotic diseases, using mathematical and computational tools to detect outbreaks and understand transmission dynamics. Hailey's work is heavily informed by her multidisciplinary background – she has worked on projects spanning sustainable development and finance, biosecurity, civil conflict, and human rights. Prior to Yale, Hailey worked as a Research Data Analyst at Talus Analytics and a Data Engineer at the Center for Global Health Science and Security at Georgetown University. She holds a B.S. in Global Health and a minor in Human Security and Geospatial Intelligence from the University of Southern California. Outside of the lab, Hailey is actively involved in the policy debate community and enjoys cooking and spending time with her fiancé and two cats.
