Anna Bezruki

Anna Bezruki is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Global Infectious Disease at Georgetown University. Her work is focused on the global governance of outbreaks, including timely sharing of information and the political factors that shape preparedness and response. She is also currently a research assistant with the Center for Health Security at Johns Hopkins University, where her work is primarily focused on global health law and the international sharing of pathogens (and benefits arising from their use). Prior to her time at Georgetown, Anna most recently worked at the Global Health Centre at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) and FIND, both in Geneva, Switzerland. She holds an A.B. in Biology from Bryn Mawr College and a Master’s in International Affairs from IHEID. She was a 2022 fellow with the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative program.
